As the first step of the revitalization of the Manor North building, Willow Valley Communities contracted CCS Building Group in the Summer of 2013 to build a porte cochere at the entrance to the building. This would serve as a replacement for the original canopy that was put in place with the construction of Manor North in 1994. The new porte cochere would stand 13 feet 6 inches tall in comparison to the canopy’s 8 feet and would allow buses and other larger vehicles to access the covered entrance.
CCS Building Group worked around the flagpole at the front of Manor North to create a welcoming entrance for Willow Valley residents and their guests. Along with the construction of the new porte cochere, CCS orchestrated the installation of new landscaping, paving and sidewalks surrounding the entrance. Additionally, in an effort to remain environmentally responsible, CCS installed LED light bulbs around the flagpole at the entrance. The addition of the porte cochere not only created a fresh, welcoming look at the entrance to the building but it provided better functional space that will be appreciated for years to come.
