Overview

Willow Valley Communities engaged CCS Building Group to construct the highlight of the Providence Park community, its Clubhouse. In its typical design-build approach, the team at CCS worked alongside Willow Valley Communities from the inception of the project to ensure the owner’s vision of creating an inter-generational environment where Willow Valley residents could build relationships with friends and family was fulfilled. Encompassed in the Clubhouse’s 30,000 square feet is a vast array of amenities including a six lane bowling alley, sports center with exercise equipment, golf simulator and vintage arcade featuring popular games from recent decades. In addition, the building features Willow Valley’s first bar and wine locker area that serves the adjoining restaurant and card room. The central feature of the building is a circular staircase that connects both levels of the building while complementing the center line of the building and the beautiful view it provides of the surrounding outdoor spaces.

CCS worked with the owner to create an outdoor pool and spa area that was designed to fit in between the Clubhouse and the Harnish Farmhouse. In addition, tennis players enjoy using the adjacent Har-Tru clay courts. Throughout the course of this eleven month project, CCS Building Group not only actively managed the construction of the job and the changes that come with a project of this magnitude, but it went above and beyond the role of general contractor. CCS was heavily involved in the procurement and installation of furniture and accessory items throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Clubhouse. In addition, CCS played an integral role in facilitating the training of client’s employees to manage and maintain the new equipment necessary for such a diverse building. Finally, CCS was able to provide cost savings to the owner throughout the project in a variety of ways including using refurbished bowling equipment and flooring in addition to sourcing out products that met design criteria but more importantly, stayed within budget.
