Overview

Recent evaluations of requests for additional capacity within the Willow Street pressure zone indicated that the existing pumping and distribution facilities were at capacity and could not service additional development (residential or commercial) within the pressure zone.  With this in mind, the City of Lancaster (PA) wanted to abandon the existing stations to construct a new, larger station along Willow Street Pike. The new 1,280 SF station would take water from a different water treatment plant, lessening the burden on the current, capacity strained plant.

CCS Building Group, in their signature design/build style, directed the development of the pump station, including land acquisition, planning, permitting and design. Great initiative was taken to ensure the new property looked visually pleasing and complimented the surrounding neighborhood. The addition of windows, exterior accent lighting, landscaping and the use of natural stone veneer helped to make this otherwise stark building stunning.
