Overview

Willow Valley Communities retained CCS Building Group to remodel the lower level of the Manor, its original community built in 1984. Intent on re-purposing this underutilized area as a location for relaxation and enjoyment, CCS helped revitalize this 8,700 SF space which Willow Valley Communities re-branded as “the MANOR club”. The project succeeded in its mission. Now, residents can often be found enjoying time by the fireplace, at an evening “at the movies” in the multipurpose room, which features a 20 foot-wide screen and surround sound or playing pool in the stylish billiards room with visiting friends and family.

This project not only reinvented underutilized space for residents, but it has become an inter-generational destination for residents’ children and grandchildren. Because renovations took place in an occupied building, the management of resident relations was critical. CCS Building Group demonstrated great care in minimizing inconvenience to residents and created safety barriers allowing residents and staff access to amenities such as the salon, wood shop, fitness center and nursing center during the construction process. In addition, CCS regularly communicated with the owner to ensure that construction noise was reduced or eliminated during special events.
