As part of a strategic initiative to significantly enhance its supportive living environments, Willow Valley Communities endeavored to transform its traditional nursing care environment into a state of the art nursing care center. CCS Building Group was engaged to realize this vision. This complex project involved working in an occupied nursing care environment without great disruption to the residents or staff.
Highlights of the renovation include creation of more residential reception areas rather than traditional nurse’s stations, the addition of country kitchens on each floor and the installation of a large breakfast bar. Since the renovation, both residents and staff have found that the breakfast bar, in particular, has had monumental impact on resident engagement.
