BILL KOCH

President and Founder


Throughout his career, Bill has played a role in the design and construction of several major projects, representing more than $1.5 billion and 10 million square feet of building construction. Bill started his career at the active adult housing leader Del Webb Corporation as project engineer and project manager before heading closer to home to join Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia. At Turner, he worked on project operations and held pre-construction roles. In 1994, Bill joined Paul Risk Associates, a design/build firm, and was principal-in-charge of several continuing care retirement community (CCRC) developments. While at these firms, he managed and completed various projects, including Lancaster General Hospital Health Campus, Eastern University North Residence Hall, Cornell University Library, Phoenix Crescent Hotel, and Oaklands Corporate Center. He has won design and construction industry awards including ABC’s National Project of the Year and NAHB’s coveted Best of American Living Award. Bill has a degree from Arizona State University in Construction Management.

Bill is the board chair for Children Deserve a Chance (CDC). CDC is a foundation whose mission is to “Aid in the financial, emotional and spiritual development of underprivileged and disabled youth.” Bill is also involved at Lives Changed by Christ Church. He and his wife Kelly have been married for 29 years and reside in Quarryville with their dog Bailey.

DUANE SELLERS

Apartment Renovations Manager


A graduate of the Willow Street Vo-Tech Carpentry Program and the Associated Builders and Contractors Carpentry Apprenticeship Program, Duane brings more than 30 years experience to CCS. His past positions at Paul Risk Associates included carpenter, lead carpenter and superintendent, where he worked on a health care facility, apartment buildings, and cultural centers. He joined CCS in 2007 as Project Manager and has managed major projects such as apartment renovations, Willow Valley Retirement Communities Glen parking garage, and Lakeside Health Care Facility renovations.

Duane served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1984. His community involvement includes roles as Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer and as a board member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church for twelve years. Duane is currently serving as an elected Supervisor for Martic Township for a six-year term (2012-2018) and was Chairman of the Board of Supervisors from 2012 – 2013. He is also Treasurer for the Southern Lancaster County Inter-Municipal Council.

Duane is an avid outdoorsman, rides a Harley, and enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife Karen, three children (Ashley, Heather and Aaron), one grandchild (Andrew), and three dogs.

JUSTIN NOLT

Operations Manager


Justin Nolt joined CCS Building Group as a Project Manager in 2010. Previously he worked as a Project Engineer for Paul Risk Associates. Since joining CCS, he has worked on major construction projects for Willow Valley Retirement Communities, such as The Manor Club and renovations to the Cultural Center. He also managed the new Willow Street Booster Pump Station and new waterline project’s partnership between Willow Valley Retirement Communities and the City of Lancaster. Justin is currently involved with Providence Park, a new community that includes 54 cottages and a 30,000 SF clubhouse, as well as a pre-construction project for Dunwoody Village.

In 2013, Justin was promoted to Operations Manager. He is responsible for continuing the development of the Project Management team. With his degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering from Penn State University, Justin brings specialized knowledge to every project. He also has an MBA from Penn State and completed the Finance and Accounting Certificate Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Justin and his wife, Chandra, live in New Holland with their three children. He serves as Trustee at his church and enjoys coaching his son’s youth soccer team.

BOB MARTZALL

Project Manager


With more than 25 years in the business, Robert has overseen all phases of construction projects for the government and private sector, ranging in size from $150,000 to $60 million. His experience is backed by extensive education, including degrees in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and an OSHA Safety Certification. In addition, Robert completed a certification program in landscape architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design. Prior to joining CCS in 2009, Robert held various positions at construction and engineering firms, such as Brinjac Engineering and Horst Construction Company. As construction project manager for CCS, Robert has led the design/build efforts for Willow Valley Retirement Communities’ Lakes & Manor Campuses, as well as the Glen Healthcare facility at the Manor North Campus.

Married to his wife Lori for twenty years, he resides in Manor Township with their two sons, Ryan and Jordan, and family golden retriever.  Ryan attends Eastern University and Jordan is a student at Penn Manor.  Bob and Lori are active in Hempfield United Methodist Church where Bob has served as Trustee and Host.   Bob is also the Penn Manor Boys Soccer Booster Club President. Bob’s pastimes include home landscaping projects and participating in club soccer events.

BILL KOCH JR.

Project Manager


Bill began working in the construction industry ten years ago, learning carpentry skills through hands-on experience. While in college, he worked as a project management intern assisting in development of estimates, job schedules and coordination of project phasing for a healthcare facility renovation. After receiving a degree in construction management from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2010, Bill joined CCS as a full-time project engineer. In this capacity, Bill led the design/build development of Willow Valley Retirement Communities Cultural Center’s pool, fitness center, spa and café, as well as managed the renovation and addition to a historical Lancaster City building. In 2013, Bill was promoted to Project Manager. He is now responsible for managing all phases of the construction process, in addition to estimating, bidding and awarding and issuing subcontracts.

Bill enjoys working on his home in Lancaster, spending time with family and friends, and playing golf.

Kyle Beltle

Business Manager


Kyle joined CCS in 2016 as the Business Manager. In this role Kyle oversees the fiscal responsibilities of the company as well as the human resources function. Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in Bible from Lancaster Bible College, and his master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Kyle is a licensed CPA and Charted Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Kyle has nearly a decade of accounting experience, and has worked in such industries as public accounting, banking, and hospitality. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Constructions Financial Management Association.

Kyle resides in Lancaster with his wife Laura and their foster-daughter. In his free time he enjoys volunteering at his home church, Harvest Bible Chapel Lancaster, playing the bass guitar, hiking, running, and discovering new restaurants.

Doug Groff

Business Development Manager


Doug joined CCS Building Group in 2014 as Business Development Manager. He focuses on planning, coordinating and executing sales and marketing initiatives. His passion is working side by side with clients to help them uncover and analyze their needs, explore potential options and complete the steps necessary to exceed their expectations. Doug has over 17 years of business development and executive management experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a marketing concentration, from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

Doug resides in Elizabethtown with his wife, Melissa, and their two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball, attending Baltimore Orioles games and going to the beach. Doug volunteers as a Board Member for the Lancaster Safety Coalition and PRIMA Theatre. He is also actively involved with the Men’s Fraternity program at Lives Changed By Christ Church.

DANETTE BETANCOURT

Design Studio Director


With over 25 years of homebuilding experience, Danette has successfully managed design centers for national and local homebuilders on both coasts. In 2008, she came to CCS Building Group to establish and manage a 2200 square foot design studio servicing a premiere retirement community in Lancaster County. Since that time, she has assisted thousands of residents in designing the home of their dreams.

Danette and her husband, Eli, reside in Manheim Township where they are members of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. They are the parents of three children and one granddaughter. When not in the office, Danette loves to travel, spend time with family and friends and entertain.

DOUG GROFF


Business Development Manager


Doug joined CCS Building Group in 2014 as Business Development Manager. He focuses on planning, coordinating and executing sales and marketing initiatives. BRENT HESS

Trades Manager


Brent joined the CCS Building Group team as Trades Manager in March 2014, as plans to start an electrical division were under way. Charged with getting the new division off the ground as well as keeping the existing painting and plumbing divisions in order, Brent’s 25 years of construction experience and leadership was warmly welcomed as a great asset to the CCS team. Brent’s enthusiasm for his work and knowledge of the trades has proven invaluable as he guides the trade divisions. In addition to Trades Manager, Brent took on the role of Safety Director at CCS and has since facilitated valuable safety measures and training company-wide.
Brent lives in Central Manor with his wife, Julie. He is actively involved in his church and enjoys being outdoors whether it be taking care of the horses he boards or riding bike.
